Manchester United has vehemently denied rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo will be heading to Real Madrid as part of a sale agreement. Reports originating out of Spain suggested that the agreement for Ronaldo was being finalized.
Reports had Real offering £70million and United wanted £83m.
"It is utter nonsense and totally laughable. Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale," a Manchester United spokesperson said. “We are not entering into any discussions with anyone about selling Cristiano Ronaldo. Quite simply Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale and that is that.” Ronaldo, currently on vacation in Sintra, refused to comment on his future.
Cristiano Ronaldo is considered among the best footballers - if not the best footballer - in the world but does not rank among the top 5 highest paid.
